Privacy Policy
Last updated October 18, 2026
Note My Life is a private journal for the lessons you never want to forget. It is operated by UltimateQA ("we"). This policy explains what we collect, why, who helps us run the service, and the choices you have. Questions go to info@ultimateqa.com.
What we collect
- Account details: your email address and, if you add them, your name, phone number, and profile picture. Sign in is handled by Clerk.
- Your notes: the text you write, notes you dictate (we keep the transcript, not the audio recording), notes saved from ChatGPT, their categories, priorities, and dates.
- Settings: your time zone and reminder preferences. If you turned on push reminders before we retired them, we still hold that browser subscription, including your browser and device type, until we delete it. We no longer send push reminders.
- Subscription details: your plan, trial and billing dates, and payment status. Card details are collected by our payment providers, never stored by us.
- Usage information: pages you visit and actions such as starting checkout, collected with Google Analytics, and the country your request comes from, used to decide where checkout is available. We do not store your IP address.
How your notes are protected
Your notes, email address, and phone number are encrypted in our database, and all traffic uses HTTPS. Search works on scrambled word fingerprints rather than readable text. Our servers decrypt your notes only to provide features you use: showing them to you, sending your reminders, choosing categories automatically, transcribing voice notes, and answering ChatGPT when you ask it to use Note My Life. We do not sell your notes or use them for advertising.
Who we share data with
We use these service providers to run Note My Life. Each receives only what its job requires.
- Clerk: sign in, account security, and subscription management.
- Stripe (through Clerk Billing): payments.
- Neon: our database, where your encrypted data is stored.
- Vercel: hosting for the website and app.
- OpenAI: the text of a new note, to choose its category, and voice recordings, to transcribe them. We use OpenAI's API, which does not use this data to train its models by default.
- Resend: sends our emails. Reminder emails include the text of the note being resurfaced.
- Google Analytics: website usage statistics.
We may also disclose information when the law requires it, or to protect the safety of our users or the service.
ChatGPT
If you connect Note My Life to ChatGPT, ChatGPT can read your notes, save new ones, and delete a note, but only when you ask it to in a conversation. What you share with ChatGPT is then also covered by OpenAI's privacy policy. You can disconnect at any time in ChatGPT; your notes stay in Note My Life.
Emails
We send account emails, such as a welcome message, and the reminders you choose. You can change or stop reminders in Settings. Occasional product news may come from UltimateQA; each of those emails has an unsubscribe link.
Cookies
We use cookies to keep you signed in (set by Clerk), to remember which version of our home page you saw, and for Google Analytics.
How long we keep data
We keep your notes and account for as long as your account exists, including after a subscription ends, so your notes are there if you return. Deleting a note removes it, and deleting your account removes all of your notes and account data. Records of payments (kept by Clerk and Stripe), email deliveries, and clicks on our product emails may be kept longer for accounting, security, and measuring those emails.
Your choices
- You can view, edit, and delete your notes at any time.
- To delete your account and all of its notes, use Delete account in Settings, Profile. This cancels any subscription immediately, without refunding remaining time, and cannot be undone. You can also email info@ultimateqa.com.
- To get a copy of your data, email info@ultimateqa.com. We respond within 30 days.
- Depending on where you live, including California, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your data, and to not be discriminated against for using them. Contact us to exercise them.
Children
Note My Life is not for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date above, and tell you by email or in the app when the change is significant. See also our Terms of Service.
